A Note From the Chair
Chair’s Message
This ‘Note from the Chair’ has some significance for me, as it will be the last one that I write before stepping down as Chair at the AGM in April. It has been a great pleasure to serve as your Chairperson over the years, in fact it's so many that I don't remember the exact year that I took on the role, but I think it could be something in the region of seven or eight years. In that time, I have seen our society bloom and grow — our membership has significantly increased and long may it continue!
It’s been a little challenging at times, particularly during the Covid period, when our committee had to have meetings via Zoom, when all the schedules were turned upside down and we had to keep re-jigging them.
Anyway, that's all behind us now, and we can all look forward to the year ahead.
I look forward to seeing some of you, and particularly new members at the AGM in April, when I will be welcoming Maureen Bond as our new Chair. I think that she is well suited to the role, and I feel sure we will be in good hands!
My best wishes to you all
